Exceptional Championship - Habiba Mohamed 5A
Exceptional Championship
Almost unbelievably, while sleeping I dreamt about reaching my pinnacle of success in an International Championship. Gleefully, I was wearing a golden medal and holding a trophy, while gazing in amazement to the cameras shooting me. It was an unforgettable moment in an exceptional dream, but unfortunately It was only a dream and I woke up on my mother rumbling sound to limber up for the great championship day. With great enthusiasm, I started my day packing my bag to travel to the championship destination, the whole trip I was remembering the dream which made me more ambitious and determined to reach my aim. Perfectly confident, I was contributing in the Duathlon race, as I am scared to death from racing in the sea, which gave me a positive feeling about winning this race. On the referee whistle, I started the race, with a great conscious about the various rules and the energy needed in each phase. As quick as a flash, I started with running for 1 km followed by 4 km cycling, then 1 km running. In the last 200 m, I was out of fuel and my legs were burning, yet what kept me competing for the first place was the exceptional dream. In a blink of an eye, I put on a spurt and finished the race by my mom's yells telling me how much pride she felt. My dream came true, I toiled and gained fame for winning the race from a spurt in the last minutes. Always, dream big, stay positive, work hard and enjoy the journey.
